First I want to check the trigger and make sure the volts are getting to the right place, wherever that is.

They aren't able to reproduce and really did try but regardless they were able to help, they reset all ambiguous error codes and give me some info.

It worked fine when dropped off, and the tech said it worked for him last test drive.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi folks, The dramedy of Savannah, the meridian metallic 996.1 continues. The car broke down on me on the highway here in southern NS. I just got her back from PSC Halifax who couldn't reproduce the 'limp mode' I've had 2x now. I had to use my 1x long tow from CAA to get her there a few weeks ago. They aren't able to reproduce and really did try but regardless they were able to help, they reset all ambiguous error codes and give me some info. Car ran fine all the way home. But, when I collected it yesterday my remote control for the valved exhaust -

- did not close / open. As the system starts in loud mode, I generally quiet it down on startup. The remote no longer works. The blue indicator signal on the remote is lighting up but nothing happens on the mufflers. The PSC test drivers said it worked fine when they drove it and the service manager had no free hoists to troubleshoot. They wanted me to wait 4 hours, maybe, to get it checked. It worked fine when dropped off, and the tech said it worked for him last test drive. I bit my tongue and drove away, I had things to do and a hotel in lunenburg to get to. I didn't want to ruin a relationship over something like that, and they did go to bat for me. The Service Manager drove it extensively, and separately at one point there were 2 techs in the car, one on a laptop monitoring things in real time.
They put about 60km or more into trying to reproduce, driove it in city and highway, fairly hard, as you would. I'm not thrilled about the exhaust but I there no way to say it's anyone's 'fault'. **** happens.
How do I figure out the failure? It's a vacuum operation triggered by 12v? off the MAF (PSC mentioned this was likely not ideal but my Indy, who installed it in Wilmington NC is no fool and I trust his work. Thoughts?)There's never been a fault prior to the service by Porsche. First I want to check the trigger and make sure the volts are getting to the right place, wherever that is. Could it be a fuse? I'll check, but I'm hoping someone can give me a head start and crash course in the wiring bits. TIA. What multimeter to get at the local parts store? The car is becoming a bit of a saga. Might sell it, it's not the right car in rural NS. It saddens me to consider it. The drive home from lunenburg on the old hwy 8 was so epic yesterday. Ran like a sewing machine thank God. 8 is a 2 lane rural road that crosses southern NS. Bonus points for driving through New Germany! Even driving respectfully, and minding the speed limit (some parts are residential) there are many miles of no intersections, so it's a nice twisty but of tarmac. It's why I bought the thing. So fun. Might do it again tomorrow. Again respectfully and observing the speed limits. I don't drive like a dick. The latest

I'd get a borescope first, if you don't have one, remove an O2 sensor from each cat (22mm) and borescope them. If the cats are crumbling internally, it could actually explain both issues.
