Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

My interior door handles were chipped and scratched. New ones are $$$$$, so I painted mine. They came out great. I used dupli-color silver engine paint . This paint comes with a really nice spray nozzle that lays the paint on really nicely. The color is a little darker than they were originally. I wet sanded the handles with 400 grit until all the chips and scratches were smoothed out and all the gloss was gone. I started with dupli-color engine primer , then paint, then a couple coats of engine clear.

Nice!! I should have done that when I re painted my center console.....just got too lazy or got tired of painting https://www.planet-9.com/threads/painting-the-center-console-and-trims.255711/?post_id=2228616#post-2228616

POST 6Original post

I have a spare one from my '06 Cayman with a light scratch. I bought a new one... $152.00!!! Good Job.

POST 7Original post

They look great, my originals were fine, I did replace them with some GT3 RS strap styled handles from AliExpress, they turned out looking and working great. They came with 3 colors of straps, since mine is an 07 Cayman S with red seat belts, I went with the red strap. I kept the originals in the event I ever decide to go back. GF scratched the hell out of the passenger side handle with all her rings...sold the car. Bought a new Boxster S , replaced the GF.
