Hello All,
I removed the Circuit Werks stainless muffler from my new-to-me
2006 Cayman S
(stainless muffler and over-the-axle side pipes) and replaced it with a stock muffler. It was in great shape, just a little too loud for me. Looks like both mufflers are very interchangeable and used the same mounting hardware and brackets.
Can someone who is more knowledgeable about exhaust systems tell me what models this Circuit Werks muffler would fit on? Would it fit on both the
987.1
and .2
Cayman
and Boxsters? I keep getting questions from people asking if it would fit on their
Boxster
, or
987.2 Cayman
, and I simply don't know.
Thanks much,
Steve
Just a thought...I also had an 06 S with CircuitWorks exhaust, and wanted suggestions how to eliminate drone. I called them and the fellow who answered must have been one of very few people who worked there, because he was technically very knowledgeable at a ground level (not a desk jockey salesman).
So, maybe just call them directly and ask?
This isnt complicated. A 15 second visit to the Circuit Werks website clearly says they fit both
Boxster
and
Cayman
models. The
987.2
version for 09-12 is a completely different item/part number from the
987.1
so again, the info you or they are asking for is right there on their website!

So what was their solution for helping with the drone? Are you happy with Circuit Works exhaust and a good performance sound? I need to replace my Miltek exhaust system from my 06CS (85k mi) and want something that still sounds as good and no drone.
Thx
