Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Greetings, I keep enjoying my 996.1 from 1998 very much, IMS bearing changed (in time, former owner probably got it swapped at first clutch brake disc but used a cheap NSK bearing which... lost all its grease as expected) is the latest thing... My headlights (halogen) are fading and have burnt mark, I'm looking a replacement options as well as retrofit. Running leds for high and low beam isn't officially accepted here (france) as far as I know. But my question is about the vertical electrical adjuster of the headlights. I do have the option M605 and while I've never disassembled the headlight, it seems to have a small electrical motor inside, and I do have the command in the car, near the light switch. https://www.wagen-shop.com/260363-he...96-lppo01.html Those are said "electrical adjuster can't be installed". I'm wondering if it's referring to the automatic adjuster some litronic have (?) or if I will be able to preserve the vertical adjuster I have. Also, are those compatible with the manual adjustment / leveling holes in the car ? for the retrofit, The team from retrofitabs said their system is compatible with that as it's only removing the reflector and putting the lens, however I'm not yet sold to the headlight disassembly which is tedious and not that simple work to me. here are the motor and control pot for the vertical electric adjuster. I think the motor is always present in the headlight from the part # catalog (?) only the pot control is the "option". Thank you for any hint / advice / help https://www.rosepassion.com/en/diagr...ng-motor-56069 https://www.rosepassion.com/en/diagr...ode-m605-65700

The wagen shop link does not work for me. I would go with the retrofitlab option. You keep all your hardware and installation and just improves the lens, projector and bulbs, which is what it matters.
