I changed my oil yesterday. VERY easy process and only cost me $88.00 compared to the $210 at the dealer. ANYONE could do this. I just backed it up onto some ramps, and slid under. This car is incredibly easy to work on. My only wish was that I had the tool that slid over the canister to get the oil filter off. Does anyone know the part number or a place that sells them?. I used a tool that I had from my M3 but I dont want to use it again. Thanks

Pretty cool. DOesn't the filter housing have a bolt holding it in place? Or is the housing threaded into the engine case?
One dealer is advertising $99 for that effort. Disposal of the used oil, rags, etc. Not bad for $11.
The $210 cost generally includes a loaner car. The $99 deal doesn't.
No bolt, its threaded into the car. As far as price goes. I received no loaner on my first oil change and they did not do any sort of inspection. It was oil change only $210.00, $100 for 1hr labor (the change took me less than 10 minutes) and $80 for oil Costrol 5w40, and$25 for filter andseals and $5 for disposal. I picked up Mobile one 0w4012qtsat$6 each came out cheaper for better product. Filter and seals for $28. Disposal is free at local autozone.
I am not all about the money here, I am more interested in the workings of my car and if I can do something myself and enjoy it, why not save a few bucks.
