Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

Any views on the K&N intake filter is it worth doing ? Thanks

POST 2Original post

I don’t think you will find any advantage in fitting it. Andy

POST 3Original post

Hi Matt, I second this. Have done some reading on upgrades, performance and others, and without fitting a Turbo or the elements of the X50 engine upgrade, believe there isn't anything you can do (basically) like this that will have an affect on performance. Happy to be wrong though Mark

POST 6Original post

I fitted a the K&N induction kit to my Carrera 2 yesterday. I drove the car for 5 miles and returned to my garage to remove it immediately! It's FAR to load inside the car in my opinion. And somwhat spoiles the engine note. I've gone back to stock Airbox with BMC panel filter. If you want it to feel like a race car great mod, not for a road car.

Buy one of these, fit for life, identical in performance and properties to a K&N at a fraction of the cost. https://www.ebay.co.uk/it...AOSwJslbAJTY:rk:6 f:0
