Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

all 911 prices, adjusted for inflation, and maybe $114,400 isnt that outrageous, relatively speaking.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Not long ago, $99k was the entry-level price, and I was thinking, wow, these prices have gone up. But then I
found a 2021 article charting
all 911 prices, adjusted for inflation, and maybe $114,400 isnt that outrageous, relatively speaking.
It does make the 996 one of the more affordable models, when new, and of course, the 996 is still very affordable today.
Lets see, my 1999 C2 was sold in April 1998 with a base price of 65K.
It was 73K lightly optioned with the sport package, stereo and 408s.
Thats $136,000 adjusted for inflation.
The inflation adjusted number is interesting. I can't say I enjoyed riding my 2002 down to ~$18k in 2017 from $78k in 2002. But i am happy the 996 is the finally the new "IT" 911.
Unless the 991 and 992 somehow defy gravity, they will be in for a bit of negative adjustment as they come off warranty and service costs become a reality. Just the way the car market works.
Yeah, I would still buy mine all over again in 2002. Just too much fun over the years not to appreciate the 996.
That's how I read it. I've always wanted to go by the dealer to see how they would weasel out of honoring it. I assume they would play the 'original owner only' card but who knows? I wonder what they would give me as a loaner?
The main thing is that traffic on I-5 between central San Diego and Carlsbad wasn't that bad 25 years ago but it sucks nowadays. I have all the receipts from the original owner and it looks like he grew tired of making the drive as the years went by.
