Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Just checked with the voltmeter and it show something between 12.5 to 12.9Volt
Leading evidence: 'Check with the voltmeter and it show something between 12.5' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Check battery not connected' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

First check the battery not connected to the charger.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I have a 2011 Porsche 997 Speedster with 15K on it and it will not start. It' acts like a dead battery.
Its a new to me as having purchased it in December.
I have had the car stored from Jan. until July on a Ctek battery maintainer. In July I took her out for a 3 hr. drive with a number of stops along the way. 3 weeks ago drove it about 8 miles to a new home and put it on the battery maintainer.
Today I wanted to start her and I get nothing out of the battery, not even a click typical of a dead battery or near dead battery. Lights come on in the trunk, daytime running lights are nice and bright and the interior lights appear bright and not dim as you would expect in a near dead battery.
With the maintainer would the battery die completely?
Do I need a new battery or is there a switch or something needs to be reset
BCGreen, not saying you did this, but my buddy put his charger on backwards and it killed the battery. It's also possible that a fuse blew in the battery tender. Now is the perfect time to get a voltmeter if you don't have one already and check both that the battery and battery tender is working. First check the battery not connected to the charger. It should be above 12V. If below, then there is a charging issue/possible bad battery. If the battery is showing above 12V, connect the charger and keep your eye on the meter. If it is working, the voltage should start slowly rising. If everything looks OK and the car won't start, then someone else is going to have to chime in on fault elsewhere, like the starter.
The battery tender was showing charging, it would alternate between charging and charged - amber light to green light.

Put in a new battery in the key fob and that didn't help.
I am wondering if the battery needs to be from the same maker. I bought the correct battery but it is from Energizer instead of Sony. The key with the Sony battery works just fine but the key with the Energizer does not.
