Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have a 1984 924, I cant get the windshield washer to work, the wipers are still working, i know the fuse is good as it operates both. i thought maybe the pump had gone, so i wired up some cable to the plug that connects to it to ensure it was getting power, i was hoping that when i pull on the washer lever if i had the cable touching it may spark? but nothing so it appears that no power is getting this far??? would this be an accurate way of testing power to the pump?? the cable then just disappears??? Please someone help me its driving me insane? Phil Migration info. Legacy thread was 30756
