The advantage of using two hangers is evident when you slide the wheel away from you and engage the hubcentric feature on the hub squarely without fear of nicking the caliper's paint.

I just applied the Wheel Wax product this afternoon and thought I'd share some picts of the use of two wheel hangers (many people only use one). First I just want to thank Ralph Boothe of Boothe Design for shipping the two gorgeous wheel hangers and the soft socket so quickly. Top quality products from a great vendor! Picts of the two wheel hangers and soft socket below. Shiny..... Now to the application.. First remove two opposing wheel bolts and thread the wheel hangers through the now empty bolt positions. Care should be taken when inserting the threaded end of the hangers since the threads can gouge the wheel's clear coat (ask how I know!). The first two bolts can be removed prior to jacking the car up but I choose to take some weight off the wheel first by jacking the corner up about an inch or so. After getting the hangers on, jack the corner of the car up enough to get most of the car's weight off the wheel but leaving enough rubber contact on the floor to prevent the wheel from rotating as you break the other wheel bolts loose. With all of the bolts loose jack the car up enough to get the wheel/tire off the ground. Remove the wheel bolts. Now slide the wheel towards you and the wheel glides on the two wheel hangers. Unlike using one, the wheel doesn't flop around or rotate suddenly to balance itself risking damage to the nice red calipers. Wheel off.... Reinstallation of the wheel involves reverse order of operation. The advantage of using two hangers is evident when you slide the wheel away from you and engage the hubcentric feature on the hub squarely without fear of nicking the caliper's paint. This piece of mine is well worth the price of buying a second hanger! Here's one of a freshly waxed rear wheel going back on. Don't forget to re-torque all the bolts to 96 ft-lbs in a cris-cross pattern. I choose to torque them in two stages to eliminate any change of distortion of the hub or rotor. Vic
