I changed mine on a 996T and ended up with a Milltek after one of the cheaper ones turned out to sound awful.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • PistonHeads: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Just looking at a new system for my 2009 Gen 1.5 manual turbo. Wondered if anyone here fitted the DesignTek exhaust - I’m looking at the whole system. If not, interested in feedback on other systems chosen. Thanks.

POST 2Original post

I changed mine on a 996T and ended up with a Milltek after one of the cheaper ones turned out to sound awful. It didn’t have a link pipe between the boxes which I think caused the horrible sound. So avoid those. I did have a DT switchable exhaust on a 996 C2 and that was well made and sounded good. Whether a Turbo one would be ok might be a different matter.

POST 4Original post

Miltek don't make 996 turbo exhausts anymore... not sure about 997turbo but wouldn't be surprised if its the same. Shame as its a cracking exhaust.... 100cell or 200cell (have had both)

POST 5Original post

Hi, Are you still looking for an exhaust? I’ve got a nearly new Europipe exhaust which was in my 997.2 Turbo for sale.
