Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 2Original post

Check this thread on Renntech http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=3404 Be aware that there is some controversy on using the rear of the engine to jack the car. The engine boss used is plenty strong enough. The question is if the engine mounts are strong enough. They are fluid filled and some folks claim one might force failures when jacking by the engine. The counter claim is that if they fail they were ready to go anyway. Many of us use the engine boss to jack the car with no failures. Personally. I use the engine. If this causes mount failure under controlled conditions in the garage I will buy two new ones, ~$150 for after market. I feel if they fail they were weak and should have been changed. It takes about 20 minutes to change them.
