Go via back passenger side light and use plastic pry to slightly lift up and then a metal wire with hook move around slowly to find cable release.

So my battery on my 996.2C2 has died and I can’t open the bonnet - does anyone know if the car has a fuse for jumping the bonnet? And if I can use noco jump starter? Haven’t got around to opening it just yet so hoping yes to both of the above and help where it’s located. Thanks

If you are using a battery booster, it must have a dead battery boost function. Many of the NOCO booster packs have this functionality. Also, make sure you are properly attaching the negative clamp to an earth point, namely the metal door hinge as advised in the manual.

In the end could get noco to work- not sure if issue with my boot tab or how I was clipping it. Anyway got it sorted. Easiest way is get in through back- so simple. Go via back passenger side light and use plastic pry to slightly lift up and then a metal wire with hook move around slowly to find cable release. Then pull. And magic the back opens and you can jump start. Don’t get why people don’t suggest this method before going via front and having to remove wheel arch!

The biggest issue I have found is not the jump post, but earthing your power source to the car.
