Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

10 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Bought a set of chrome plated covers for the ubiquitous rusty wheel nuts. I forgot of course that the locking wheel nuts are smaller and recessed deeper into the wheel. Has anyone worked around this problem, or have any suggestions re locking nuts to match the the remainder?

POST 2Original post

There is always repaint the bolts, i did mine, i thought about the covers too and then realised what you have found out [ ]

POST 3Original post

Where did you get the covers from? would not mind some myself. I have taken my locking nuts off had a problem with them being so tight that could not get them off, kept breaking the nut. Phil

POST 4Original post

Are you torquing correctly Phil? 97ft/lb is the rate and shouldn't break anything [ ]

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Off ebay. I believe they are similar to those sold by OPC.............only cheaper

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Correct. I should have said "bolts" rather than nuts in the first place

POST 8Original post

I didnt want to correct you as you may have had big spacers with NUTS [ ]

POST 9Original post
