Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

A few B4 variations exist depending on the vehicle application but these are all intended to replace the standard shocks fitted when the car was new.
Leading evidence: 'Install when the car was new' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Install when the car was new' (1 discussions). The B8's (as I've been told) are the shocks designed for shorter springs as I'm also looking to replace my tired MO30 shocks.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Gents looking at a set of B6,my car sits at what looks like GT 3 ride hight on what looks like standard shocks but I think they are H&R springs hence the drop.
Question is would the springs be okay with the B6 ?
Worth noting the B6’s are designed for standard springs, so there will be a slight compromise to ride quality. I have the B6 sport’s on my C2 and enquired with Centre Gravity about installing lowering springs who confirmed they could be installed but wouldn’t preform as well.
The B8's (as I've been told) are the shocks designed for shorter springs as I'm also looking to replace my tired MO30 shocks.
I too have h&r springs which seems to sit a bit higher than the Eibach equivalent.
Any photos of your car?
that is not correct as they told me the opposite
B4 with lowered springs is fine, avoid stiffer and shosrtened shocks and fit thicker ARB
Porsche OEM Spec features M033 lowered springs with standard shocks aka B4 spec

B4 is what I was referring to rather than B6
B4 is the standard M029
B8 is the M030
@Frenchmeister
i would get the B4 shocks, harsh UK roads wont work well with the B6 then lowered
Bilstein B4
- These are classed as a replacement damper. A few B4 variations exist depending on the vehicle application but these are all intended to replace the standard shocks fitted when the car was new.
Bilstein B6
- A non adjustable sport damper which is painted yellow. The B6 damper is designed for the motorist that wants a sporty ride without lowering the car or changing the original springs.
Bilstein B8
- just like the B6 shock absorber but shorter. These are only for use with lowering springs or where listed for vehicles with factory sports suspension. The are shorter to ensure the all important coil spring pre load as lowering springs are shorter than OE springs
My B4's are currently in the post to replace my originals. I was going to reuse my old springs as they look in condition and with no rust etc.
If i was to get lowered springs for the B4's for normal road driving and being in Cornwall, what springs do you recommend. I'd appreciate your thoughts
