Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi all, looking for advice. I have recently noticed, ? oil under my car on the driveway. i placed a piece of white card under left rear under engine area. yellow/green fluid has leaked onto card. what could this be ? car has recently undergone engine out for rms seal replacement and general service. it also had all four coffin arms replaced at the same time. and a four wheel alignment at a local independent. the car is a 996 turbo 2003 with 21300 on clock. bought december 2013. advice appreciated
Cracked coolant tank.
Drip will only be noticeable once the car is cooling down. Immediately after a run it will be leaking but will evaporate. Once the temperature cools it will start to drip.
Header tanks crack over time due to the plastic becoming brittle over repeated heat cycles, eventually a small crack appears. As the engine heats the pressure in the tank increases and forces the coolant through it.
Observe the coolant level and if you find it dropping over time (even if you don't see any drips) it may be worth looking for. The crack is often hard to see from the engine bay because the tank is so big.
A good indy can remove and replace a coolant tank in a couple of hours. :thumb:

Would put money on it being this. Check the tank yourself... If it looks old and yellowed its likely to be this.
If it's white it would have been replaced previously.
Noticed some coolant in the sample place on mine today, once I came back from a spirited run and the car had cooled for 30 mins - time to look at Header Tank Replacement videos!
