After the excellent Becker Traffic Pro High Speed 7820 in my 993 (still the recommended unit for the 993, as it has that 993 look)

Suggestion
I've replaced the head unit with a BT continental unit and if you're after an original one I'll be prepared to sell it all.

A very good Saturday evening to you all
I have a ‘98 carrera 4 with aero kit and it unfortunately has an abhorrent single din pioneer cd head unit complete with bright blue flashing and dancing led’s and screen
I would like a replacement head unit but I’ve no idea àon what one? What was there when new originally?
It does have the original multi disc changer in the frunk but it’s not connected.
If going aftermarket again, I’d like the display colour to match the orange lighting to the rest of the interior and would like Bluetooth and cd.
Thoughts and recommendations please?

After the excellent Becker Traffic Pro High Speed 7820 in my 993 (still the recommended unit for the 993, as it has that 993 look)
it was time to upgrade for GT3, the OEM CDR-23 is quite frankly awful on all counts, so as I don't want to have a window stuck Tom Tom etc and there was no way PCM was going to be stuck into the GT3, it was time for another Becker Single Din Unit (the performance car choice).
Becker also make all of the high end OEM Car stereo (Porsche, Aston, fezza) unit so the issue and cost of campatability isnt one, thankfully.
So deciding to go for something more modern...

Thanks for the reply! So the head unit is just for tapes so that’s why there a cd multi player unit in the frunk?
I’ve not checked behind the pioneer yet to see if any of the loom has been butchered but am I right in thinking that back in the day when the pioneer was out ( it looks early naughties) there was a supply of iso connectors that were simply plugged piggy bag stylie in the original cr22?
My 99 C4 came with the Becker traffic pro plus and the frunk cd changer. I've replaced the head unit with a BT continental unit and if you're after an original one I'll be prepared to sell it all. Comes with codes, CD's etc....
