I think I’ll replace the lock mechanism, then the external door handle micro switch and finally the internal door release micro switch, starting with the cheapest parts before the internal door release.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi Trying to resolve a double hoot alarm on locking and window not dropping when closing. Took the door card off and found a broken connector as part of the internal door release mechanism. There two connectors, a sound black one part number 030 545 28 28 and a broken white one with no part number as it’s on a lost bit. I’m looking for the part number of the white connector. Would anybody have the part number? Thanks

POST 3Original post

I am not sure but I think that the black connector is for the microswitch and the white one is only the small light in the door handle. If that is the case it would not cause any locking problems - but I could have that reversed....

Thanks, it may include the female part of the connector but I think the male part is on door wiring loom I might need to figure a repair solution

Oh you are correct the black connection is for the micro switch and the white is for the light. I think I’ll replace the lock mechanism, then the external door handle micro switch and finally the internal door release micro switch, starting with the cheapest parts before the internal door release. Hopefully the lock mechanism alone is the solution.
