Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

2007 Cayman 2.7 L , 131000 miles runs good except beeps when locked with key remote, front hood a kind a hard to close, need to push hard. Please advice

POST 2Original post

Make sure the front latch is not obstructed by anything. Inspect the latch mechanism, make sure it's undamaged in any way. Add only a few drops of lubricant on the latch, actuate it with the fob and observe. Not sure on the beep but wild shot in the dark? When was the last time you put a new battery in the fob? Careful where you push hard on the hood, it can be bent with too much force. Distribute your pressure on both sides of the Porsche shield, be firm but never aggressive. Lastly if you have a volume in the trunk that needs compression with each closure, reduce said volume.

POST 3Original post

When you lock with the fob, you'll get a beep if any "protected" door is not secured. Any door or hatch (even the glove compartment) that is not fully closed will trigger a single beep. It is probably detected using the same switch that controls the internal light that comes on when that compartment is opened. I think a Porsche specific scanner such as Durametric will identify the exact offender. However it sounds like there is an issue with the frunk latch mechanism. I've never had cause to access mine so I'm not sure how much work is required to get good access to the latch and it's electrical connections.

Thanks for the tips. Very well appreciated, thanks
