Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hello, My car has the carbon option (steering wheel, sill guards, handbrake etc) but some of the lacquer seems to be cracking/ splitting. The steering wheel is worst. Looking on forums it seems to have been a problem in hot countries (the US and not Lincolnshire..). Can anyone recommend where I could have the lacquer repaired? It is just a cosmetic thing but I would like it sorted before it gets worse. Thanks

POST 2Original post

Any paint repair shop or even one of the mobile repairers like chips away.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks, I'll try our local guy. The split on the steering wheel is starting to peel away so I think it may be more than a "touch up".

POST 4Original post

There is also a breed of mobile repairers that the trade use that would sort it out and re lacquer. Ring your local person if they can't do they will recommend someone that can.
