Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. This is not a probability of success.

Tom, you could run those 997 wheels with 15mm spacers in front and 15mm spacers in the rear and clear the fenders on a MKII C2, You would need to roll the fender lips on a MKI.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I'm now looking at a set of 997 Carrera IV wheels instead of painting my Sport Classic IIs. I found a somewhat local guy selling a set and wanted to see if my assumptions were correct. The Carrera IV wheels are 18x8 et57 and 18x10.5 et60. My SCIIs are 18x8 et50 and 18x10 et65. Would the fronts would be pulled in by 7mm and the rears pushed out 5mm? Hoping to paint them like this

Unless I am mistaken, arent the 996.1 and 996.2 C2 the same dimensions? Should be the same unless youre talking about the C4S or Turbo, no?
