I'd be interested to know if anyone has installed one or ordered one of those iPod through MOST kits.
I definitely want to get one, but I've been to the websites and I can't see how I can place an order and have it shipped to me. There's no 'online shopping' area.... or am I missing something?
There's also very little information as to when they'll be available... it's all a bit confusing.

I will wait to hear more about it, but in the meantiime I am using a FM adapater which is sure not the best. I just got tired of fussing with CD's.
Russ
Zuksh, which website are you referring to?
Zuksh:
There are several ipod/MOST threads, but the two players mentioned are Dice Electronics and Denison. Both seem to be having problems getting something to work... 'We'll have it Real Soon Now' with bi-monthly updates. It may actually be the same device, or at least the same engineering team./fckeditor/editor/images/smiley/MWPX/wink_smile.gif The Dice catalog is in the download area. Also, you can bet that Becker, who builds the head units, is not very helpful...
So far I have not seen a report of anyone who has actually installed either of the devices. But it should be a lucrative market... Porsche owners are notorious for customizing their cars, and they are already accustomed to price-shock after a few trips to the parts counter.

Qtgc: The links are available on another thread. But as John said, I know of two companies... one called dice electronics and the other one is denison.
John: Thanks for that. Actually, it's not just Porsche owners who'll be looking for ipod through MOST solutions.... soon most car manufacturers including Japanese ones will be using fibre optics for their audio systems. Mercedes and BMW are already using fibre optics too. You most proabably won't be able to just use the ones made for Mercs on a Porsche because of the different softwares in the PCM... which means the makers of those things will slap a premium on the Porsche models since as you righfully said... Porsche owners are arlready accustomed to rediculous prices... If anyone from dice electronics or denison is reading this thread, don't get too carried away with your prices... we'll give you bad reviews if you do
Talking about price shocks... my biggest was the floor mats.... I meanwhy on earth would anyone want to buy a 2006 car without floor mats?!?!?!!? I know that it's less weight if you're racing on a track... but surely whoever wants to race and is concerned about weight can spend an extra 2 minutes taking them out while he's on the track!!! Come on Porsche... that is cheap and cheeky! Actually this deserves to be on a separate thread under the complaints forum -
