Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hello,
When i open the passenger door the window does not lower like the driver's side. I can hear the window motor engaging but it does not lower the window. If i use the window switch the window goes down normally. I assume i need to take the door pannel out to investigate but thought i would reach out and see if anyone has encountered the same issue.
Agree. If the motor wasnt running at all when opening the door, then Id call the micro switch faulty. Otherwise, the regulator. There should be plenty of DIY regulator replacement articles here. You can order a rebuilt one from Power Window Regulators out of Phoenix, AZ, or you can purchase new.
Doesnt it move at all ? If there are even a small movement, cable can have slack. Open door panel etc. and check cable with both lower gears (front and back end). If there are free play you can put a plastic cable tie behind stopper (in picture green part). Or stopper can be broken and popped off. It can be replaced with metallic cable part.
Mine was acting the same way, it would try to pull down but not enough to clear the roof. It's a bit of a hassle to get to it (not tearing the foam panel was the worst of it), so I just replaced it instead of trying to fix cable slack and potentially having to go back in.
I used this excellent guide:

Yeah, I wouldnt repair, Id replace it. That Arizona place does rebuild better than new, so thats a different type of repair. You could go that route too. Its not like these regulator assemblies are $800 like the rear cabriolet regulators, so its best to do it once, correctly.
The EASIEST way to test if it's a regulator on its way out, IMO, is can you easily move the window up and down a little bit with your hands? If you can open the door and push the window down into the position it's supposed to be in with the door open, then pull it back up - the cable is going and you wanna replace that pup before it goes with the window down!
