Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Example if you want to pay $19,500 I can replace the carreras wheels with 18” turbo twists.

My Wife set 4 Land Speed records with the car and got hooked, so now she wants to build another car instead of modifying the 996 to go faster...

Suggestion
The track car is a great "tri-Purpose" vehicle for us since it can be street driven daily, works great at DEs and is fast enough to set all the records in it's class at ECTA events..
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

So the racing bug has bit. I'm going SP/3 or SPBOX. With that said I am offering the following:
1999 996 C2, 76,000 miles, original paint, LSD, factory sport seats. During the past 5 years this has pretty much become a dedicated track car averaging 15 track days per season. It is very well maintained as it is inspected every 375 or so miles. The oil has been changed every 1,500-1,800 miles. It has never has a RMS issue and doesn’t use a drop of oil. This car is well prepared for track events. Upgrades include a JIC Cross Competition suspension, DAS roll bar, Sparco seats, Schroth harnesses, X51 baffled oil pan, FisterD exhaust, 2002 carrera wheels, GT3 brake ducts, PFC pads, Toyo RA1s (which have 9 or 10 track day on them). This well prepared, well sorted, track orientated car is priced at $20,000. This price includes both sport and race seats. If you want to pay less I’ll be happy to remove or replace certain parts. Example if you want to pay $19,500 I can replace the carreras wheels with 18” turbo twists. You want to pay $19,000 I can delivery it with 17” stock wheels and street tire. If you want to pay less I can remove more. Contact me at

This is an awesome deal!!! I should sell mine and just buy yours!
btw: the shadow from the trees in that last photo makes it seem like you have a big dent on your door.
That was quick..
I am getting ready to put up my MK1 Aero for sale with some of the same mods, but GT3 seats, IMS Retrofit and 285 RWHP.. My Wife set 4 Land Speed records with the car and got hooked, so now she wants to build another car instead of modifying the 996 to go faster... Here is a pic from Maxton N.C. at an ECTA event. She wants to go over 200MPH.
I have no idea what the true value of mine is, the laundry list of mods is more than a page long and it hauls ***!
I have another 996, its a '00 Millennium Edition.
The track car is a blast, but I don't have time to DE these days as we race in SCCA with an aircooled Porsche and are almost finished with an SCCA ITR Boxster, so I'll have even less time..
The track car is a great "tri-Purpose" vehicle for us since it can be street driven daily, works great at DEs and is fast enough to set all the records in it's class at ECTA events.. Fact is she got so hooked on the Land Speed racing that it would take a total compromise of this car to meet the rules to go faster since it would need a full cage, parachute and etc. Instead of doing that I am building an earlier 911 bodied car and its time for this one to go to a new home..
My Wife is great, she couldn't be married to a person like me if she wasn't just as infatuated with machines, engines and cars as I am... She doesn't do too bad for an accountant :-)
Jake,
Your wife wants a 200+ MPH Porsche? Just buy her a 2011 GT2 RS, top speed is rated at 205 MPH.
BTW, if "Mrs. Jake" reads this post, I will disavow any knowledge of it!
Trust me, she'd want one before I do!!
There are lots more records that she wants in the 2 liter classes and I already have a car mostly built that would set those records... I am still much more of a fan of aircooled Porsches than watercooled and so is she.
I've had my fun with the C2, and so has she.. time for it to go before I take the sawzall to it!
