Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Watched these 4 videos and a few of your others and enjoyed them! Since youve worked on several different 911 generations Id be curious to hear some comparisons regarding driving them and working on them.
Very cool videos, I already watched the first 2 and enjoyed them too, thanks for uploading them to YT. I couldn't believe how your left Tie-rod was so bent out of shape and you could still drive the car, amazing... You did great putting everything back together and now you got a very nice 996 cab. Cheers,
I made the mistake of watching a couple of them. Then a couple more. Then...... Yea, you know how it can go.
Loved the one where you pretty much just let go and outright blushed over how much FUN you have had in the Boxster that is currently net $1200 all in. This coming from a fella that obviously has spent countless miles in amazing assortment of Porsches.
You got mad cred with me. I say that because one of my brothers has been the family Porsche snob for much of my life and I finally caved and grabbed a Boxster to safely (inexpensively) dabble. I braced for the ridicule and insults, but much to my amazement he echoed pretty much what you said. He misses the one he had and said it was the best handling Porsche he has had yet.
Anyways, sorry for the long winded response, but I'm a hopeless channel subscriber now. Rooting for the RS to be everything you risked so much for it to be!
Thanks for the positive responses
I've been a long time P-car fanatic. I've had (and actually still have minus 993) every generation car up to 997 since I just don't care for anything newer.
Boff - the comparisons are kinda hard to say. I prefer low, stiff and loud so this 996 is pretty tame in my eyes. Still a great car though. Just too quiet and soft for my taste. Kind of remind me of how the 928 was perceived as a car to cover long distances at high speeds and in comfort. Stock 996 and 997's to me seem to fit that mold in my eyes. Excellent platforms that can be just as great as daily drivers as much as canyon carvers and track cars.
Botsy67 - Still can't quite figure out what happened to that tie rod. An impact hard enough to bend it should have caused some other damage. At least bent a wheel or something. But nothing else happened. Fortunately I changed that tie rod, got the alignment and the car now drives nice and straight
davidpg - absolutely nothing wrong with a rebuilt title car. As long as you know why it was rebuilt. Actually in many cases it gives someone who really wants to get into their dream car a real chance of buying one since the purists will get scared away. Plus you can drive the wheels off of them without the worry of depreciation. These cars were meant to be driven and enjoyed. If it brings a smile to your face, you win
Snakebit - what can I say. I've been playing with Porsches for almost 20 years. That little Boxster just makes me smile every time I drive it. And if you look at my signature down below, I have lots of better, more expensive and faster cars to chose from. But I find myself grabbing the keys to that little tic-tac more often than the others. At the end of the day, I think that says it all without saying anything at all. The RS is great. A dream car for me. I can just sit and look at it all day. The kicker is I get to drive it anytime I want.
Lots of videos still to come. I don't think I would ever run out of material. My wife has been telling me for years that I should be making videos. I'm always tinkering with cars. It's what I love. So I finally started filming when I bought the RS. I just hope they stay entertaining and that people keep watching. So far the response has been great. And if Youtube is willing to pay me a few bucks, why not?? I'm still shy of my 1000 subscribers and 4000 watch hours, but considering I've only been at it for less than 3 months I think I'm doing pretty well
Thank your wife for me.
And she was right too.
As long as it's something you enjoy doing, it will come through the video. If not, it will come through too.
Awesome, I believe you will get many more subscribers in a very short time. Btw I am one of them already and will look forward to your next video. That Boxster you have has a great stance which explains its great handling in the mountain roads. I also love your RS contents, you do have great skills; Amazing stuff that you can do to it by just diving in and start tearing things apart to fix the problem, good work.... Cheers,
