Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have a 1999 carrera 2 with a tipronic. the front trans mount is coming apart (Rubber disintegrating). My Local mechanic and Porsche dealer can find no reference to a replacement part or maintenance procedure in their manuals. The dealer has a call into Porsche cars North America to try and get some info. Has anyone replaced this mount before? Got any suggestions? any information on updates on this item? The later cars have a redesigned mount that bolts on with two bushings. I wonder if that part can be retrofitted to mine? Thanks

POST 2Original post

Try 996-375-055-05 which is the trans mount for the G96 (manual trans). Never fitted one on a Tip, so don't know if they fit, so measuring may be required.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks, now that you mention this. I bet thats why they can't find any info on the Tip trans mount. Its likely the same as the STD trans mount. It looks identical in my shop manual pics.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
