The kits are very well thought out, and made so the average guy who knows which end of a screwdriver to use can successfully install them.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

I'm wondering if anyone knows about whether the sport chrono dash could just bolt right into a car without it. I'm wanting to get the extra gauge hole in the center to put an oil temp gauge in it.

POST 2Original post

Don’t know about the dash swap, but I’ve been shopping the design911 gauge. It’s pretty slick!

POST 3Original post

It's very slick. If you don't have the pod (your new one does) he offers one that clips into the tiny vent on the top of the dash. Works great (I helped just a bit with the idea/engineering..) It's a great device if you like knowing actual temps of the engine and oil..

POST 4Original post

That's because that isn't the website. Check 997research.com and particularly Shop — 997research - I think you'll find what you seek. The kits are very well thought out, and made so the average guy who knows which end of a screwdriver to use can successfully install them. I love my display of oil/water temps.. despite the different modes that the gauge has (one of them was at my suggestion) I find the basic temps one with the circular moving bars is really what I want. I want to watch the oil temperature. Let it get over 150F before actually pushing the car at all. Once it gets to 195F - it usually stays there and I can play with the car to my hearts content.

POST 5Original post

It would really be useful (HINT!) if someone who has the sport-chrono dash made a downloadable template of where the hole goes. The hole isn't magic. If you see the dash with the pod removed it's just a hole, no reinforcing structure, just a hole, and not cut all that neatly. I suspect when you get a price to swap a dash you may want to consider a DIY hole first. Of course if you do remove the dash, it would be a good time to tackle the HVAC flap situation...

POST 6Original post

thank you for the correction!! Not sure why that other site was stuck in my head.
