The design 911 one at £69 looks like the one you posted at £36 so it looks like you could be right in that the fit is universal with just the set pressure being different.

I'm pretty sure they are all a standard fit , "pot type" and the only difference is the set pressure I think.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

As part of me trying to fix a strong smell of petrol in the engine oil on my 98 3.4 C2 I thought I should have a look at the injectors and the FPR.
I have a service kit on it's way for the injectors but I'd like to replace the 27yr old FPR for a new one .
D911 sell it as a Genuine Porsche part priced at £141.82 (Bosch)
An almost identical Bosch FPR for various Audi, VWs , Bentley etc is £21 ... the only difference is the pressure , 3 v's 3.8 bar

However I've found a Bosch FPR set at the correct 3.8bar for £36.

Anyone have any knowledge on these ?
It's very hard to get the proper Bosch one ( 0280160616) but Autodoc have it apparently

no they don't it's out of stock.
The design 911 one at £69 looks like the one you posted at £36 so it looks like you could be right in that the fit is universal with just the set pressure being different. I note that the d911 shows the application as 993-996 further alluding to one size fits all (except the pressure part)
There is also a 4 bar version so only 2psi over the standard but unsure whether this would be too much.
I could really do with speaking to someone that knows about these.
Pardon our interruption...
The last 3 digits are what classifies them
0 280 160 587 3.8bar £36 (not the one Bosch supplied Porsche)
0 280 160 542 3.0bar £25

Thanks but I bought the blue one.

But it is a Bosch one and 3.8bar and they're all the same size/fitment so it should work fine.
