Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

11 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

I'm thinking about getting the blk mats with red trim, to go with my red seat belts (blk interior/wht exterior). But Porsche wants over $400 (I believe) and that's a crime. Is the red of the Lloyd mats the same as Porsche 's guards red? Also, how is their quality. Does it compare to the Porsche quality?

POST 2Original post

I can't vouch for an exact color match, but the Lloyds mats imho, are better than Porsche 's mats. I've had them in my last three Porsches, and their regular thickness mats are thicker than the Porsche ones and I like the material they use better - it's softer, and not as scratchy. They're fastening system is really better, too, they hook to the front of the seat rail with detachable fasteners, so you don't have to put holes in your carpet for the velcro attachments. brad

POST 3Original post

Once upon a time I had ordered mats from Porsche with the family crest. The dealer sent the wrong ones (the ones with the trademark name). I wasn't real happy. The dealer said the mats they get are Lloyd's. And they had Mr. Lloyd contact me. He said that I should keep the mats that I received by mistake (dealer error) and sent me the proper ones for no cost. One heck of a nice guy!! And the mats they make are top notch. I would be amazed if the red wasn't guards red ala Porsche . You could call and talk to Mr. Lloyd. Good luck with your decision. I'd get Lloyds. They are/were licensed by Porsche . LL

POST 4Original post

I found this great link that answered all my questions. Yeah, even the edge color is licenced by Porsche , so it must be guards red. http://www.hwaccessories.com/Products/Lloyd-Por-Mats.htm

POST 5Original post

Fiebru: I just ordered Grey w/Blue ' Porsche ' LLoyd mats. They should be here by weekend. They are cut to fit (w or w/o Bose ). I've had Lloyd's before and they are very nice (nicer than OEM). I've been told that Lloyd does not havethe license to use the Cayman logo yet and given Porsche 's rough agreements they have no plans. For $99 (USSpeed)I'll use these now and buy the double logo ( Porsche & Cayman S ) when they are offered.

POST 6Original post

Fiebru: I have Lloyd's mats in my 993 C4S; with Carrera 4S script in guards red and with a guards red border. Perfect fit and look! Brightens up the footwell. Quality of the product is well-known.

POST 7Original post

Thanks guys! Best thing is they're just over $100 and the quality is great. The Porsche equivalent would be over $400. The Lloyd mat doesn't have the trim in leather , but I don't care. Most people wouldn't know the difference anyways.

POST 8Original post

i picked up a spare set of mats tonight in black...i kinda like um..they cost me 100 bones with tax. the lloyds mats look nice, maybe just a little much with the embroidery for my taste anyway.. i plan on doing some more black accents in the future... cheers.../fckeditor/editor/images/smiley/MWPX/beer2.gif

POST 9Original post

Thanks for that link Fiebru. I just used it to order the Lloyd's Black RubberTite mats. I'll let you all know about quality and fit once they arrive.

POST 10Original post

A guy from HW (Howard) called me today in response to a phone message I left. I was on the road, so I couldn't place the order. But he said they can cut them for either w/ Bose or wo/ Bose . Rucy

POST 11Original post

Just got mine from USSpeed...they are of great quality, nice color and good stiching. Cut for Bose . Wouldn't hesitate doing again.
