I have to remind myself to post this in the proper forum:

A couple of questions that were asked:
1) How long did it take? For me, stopping to shoot photos and checking a few things by phone call it took 2-3 hours. I could probably do the whole thing in less than an hour now that I have done it, and I would expect that others using this article could do it in around 1 hours, certainly less than 2.
2) Is it too hard to do yourself? No, not at all, but if you don't want to, take it to your dealer and their service department do it. It is a great looking mod and Bumper Plugs has a great price, I wouldn't want the install to dissuade anyone from doing this.
Any other questions, let me know!
Ken,
Could you list the tools you used? wrench sizes, etc. It's nice to know you have all of the correct tools before you tear your interior apart. Also, were there any parts that you needed that were not already available and would you purchase some of the plastic fasteners that were difficult to remove? It appears not.
One time when working on a vehicle center console modification, I had everything dismantled, including the parking brake, only to find I needed some longer bolts to complete the job. Needless to say, these bolts were not available at your local hardware lumber supply store.
Very cool Ken.......Ordered my Porsche SSK from Suncoast and was looking for something like this.....I'll take pix of the SSK install and post that info when it happens.
No extra parts were needed, just transfered over items from the one console to the other. As for tools a Torx T-20 and a T-15 driver of some sort, I also used a needle nose pliers on that one screw and the nylon tabs that had to be transferred. I had a channel lock for the shift knob but never got it off. Talked to the service guy at the dealership today and he says there are some they literally have to use pry bars on to get off so he wasn't surprised. I also used a plastic wedge tool in a couple of places, but you could probably make do without one if you had to.
Hope that helps!
That is the information that I was looking for. Thanks. These illustrated instructions are very worthwhile.
