Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

There is, as you say, always the Home Depot special which in fact I used for covering the air inlet on the side scoop on my Boxster S to prevent debris getting in there after I removed the restrictor plate.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1Original post

Does anyone have information about any company that may produce grills for the front intakes?? Since my car will be driven daily and the roads are not the greatest with alot of rocks and debris, I usually cover the grill area with the expanded metal mesh (Home Depot Special) from the back. However I will definitely want something that looks either factory or at least have a factory look to it. Suppose I could always fashion them somehow but may be hesitant to drive it much until that is completed. Another question is any input on the clear bra that is available for the front end/mirrors etc??? Would you use it or not use it???

POST 2Original post

I don't have any information on anyone making grills yet. If you find a company that does for other vehicles please feel free to have them contact me and I'm happy to extol the virtues of the Cayman, this site, and why they should make something for the Cayman. There is, as you say, always the Home Depot special which in fact I used for covering the air inlet on the side scoop on my Boxster S to prevent debris getting in there after I removed the restrictor plate. As for a clear bra my suggestion would be to contact Alan Seligman at [phone removed] - www.invincaman.com as he works with all of the suppliers and can probably get an estimate as to when a kit will be available. Since the kit makers need an actual car to make a pattern from I suspect this won't be until at least a couple of months after the car is released.
