Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

When I drive to the track, because of the CD changer issues I anyways end up using Airpods.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi all,
So I have a problem with my PCM 1 on my slicktop x50 turbo track car. I predominantly use the car for track driving.
PCM Problem: a) CD changer sometimes skips songs b) no AUX input available. After months of research I have the following options;
1. PCCM+ (given my car is a non MOST, there are static / hissing issues)
2. Install a aftermarket radio (don't like this as it would require a new amp, cables to be changed etc.)
3. Install a Bluetooth module for 300EUR (problem is again hissing / static on low volume.)
4. Install a CDR 32/22 but they are expensive and don't want to pay for a 20 year old cd player.
5. (preferred) I have a GT3 center console delete kit. So I would remove the BOSE subwoofer / amp / cd changer / speakers. Pack them nicely in a box for the future owner should he/she wish to install the original equipment, additionally all of this would be reversible. When I drive to the track, because of the CD changer issues I anyways end up using Airpods. I will probably remove 30-40 pounds in the process.
Am I crazy or makes sense ?
Move the Air Con control down into the space below than fit an aftermarket radio, the only way is a modern single din aftermarket radio

I'm Going ahead with the GT3 console delete to create more legroom but I currently have a double din head unit (with apple car play etc) that I really like. Obviously to do the console delete the head unit has to be changed to a single din, unless someone can come up with an alternative? it looks as though there was a kit to raise the entire centre console but that is no loner available.
As far as I can tell the options are as follows:
1. Swap to single din - what parts would I need for this though and any recommendations for a single din non folding out unit with apple car play?

You could keep a pair of speakers and add a small bluetooth amp.
Something like this....
https://cpc.farnell.com/e-audio/b42...h Receiver with Stereo Audio Amplifier, 2x30W
That was just a quick google, but something like that.
You could then just bluetooth all your music, radio to the speakers and lose most of the weight.
This is more for someone who wants to remove the radio, you could fit that amp behind the glovebox or anywhere and then wire two front speakers up to it.
Run 12v to it from a switched source and use your phone as the head unit.
Just a simple design if you don't want a radio, but would like to have access to podcasts/spotify etc. occasionally.
