Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

As the title states, the 996 is the greatest car ever produced. What other car looks great, is easy to maintain, is very reliable for a super car (if you don't believe that do some research - lots of unbiased sources say that), and can blow the pants off any air cooled 911. It's comfortable, fast, has exceptional performance and gets (got) positive comments everywhere I went. I miss mine every day. Besides all of the wonderful comments that are going to follow, I just want to see how long until one of the two trolls make a comment. Either they will follow in form and post something awful about the 996 - which is not what this thread is for. Or they will sit at the keyboard having a nervous breakdown knowing that there is a positive thread about the 996 and they really want to make a negative comment on but can't because it will show what kind of person they are.

POST 2Original post

Jesus, isn't one "996 is the greatest" thread at a time enough? If there is a Mod in this forum this thread will be binned or at least merged to the 996vs993 thread...

POST 5Original post

I think the 996 sucks! That's why I spent about $20K to replace the engine in it.
