My standard set up is 17” 7J / 9J ET55 for both. I’m looking at Carrera 5 spokes that are 18” 8J ET 50 / 10J ET565. It’s the rears I have concerns on tyre width choice, perhaps the 265 will look stretched or perhaps the 285 will look too wide for a narrow body and perhaps rub with certain suspensions (mines standard suspension at the moment). Any pics of a 265 wide tyre on a 10J ? I’ve searched and can’t find an answer. Thanks

Whilst 265 is the factory spec, it is a little on the narrow side compared to most OE fitments. If the tyre has a decent sized rim protection moulding within the side wall such as the factory fit Pirelli P Zero, it disguises the slight stretch really well, however if you fit a tyre with less rim protection such as the Michelin, the amount of stretch becomes more apparent. Here are the P-Zeros on mine which look fine.

That does look like it matches the front tyre fitment better.
