Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

15 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi everyone, Having sold my 86, I now only have the 996, which makes it the household's only car. That means I have to make it suitable to carry our pair of adorable tiny feet, who is about 1.5yo / 26lbs. What is a good option easily available in 2024 for a 996 coupe compatible group 1 seat ? We have this one , and while it fits OK with the rear seat bottom & back removed, I don't find it particularly secure. Due to the rear buckle receiver being quite far forward, the seat will move 10-15cm forwards under hard braking. Looking forward to your input. Alex

POST 2Original post

if they are still small and no longer rear facing

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I quite like that one, but: -I can't find it anywhere for a reasonable price (the two I've found used were 595 & 795€) -it's a group 2 item as far as I know, so she's still too light / young for it

POST 4Original post

I use a Britax romer - had the boy in that for about a year. He is 2.5 years now. Took the base of the back seat out to help it fit a bit better. Tight squeeze, but it works. I got the tip from another forum member - if you search baby seats the thread should pop up.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Seems to be a Britax Romer EVOLVA 123. There's a few for sale out there. Will look into it. Thanks!

POST 6Original post

I have a the porsche 996 tech equip baby seat with the additional airbag disable seat belt if you are interested. Mine have just got too big! DM me cheers

POST 7Original post

My 2 cents is I have 3 Britax Romer Evolva's in different vehicles in 2 different countries, they're great. I think we started using them when we switched from rear to front facing at about 18 months. Also I saw a "Porsche" baby seat at an OPC last week and noticed the label which said "Britain Romer", not sure if it's an Evolve in drag, but looked very similar

Thanks but I'm not in the UK, so I doubt that'll make sense

POST 9Original post

I have just bought a Britax Romer Kidfix isize. Seems to do the job and not too expensive. I have a happy 3.5 year old daughter.

POST 10Original post

I have this - https://www.halfords.com/baby-and-c...ts/halfords-essentials-nyala-r129-819222.html Struggled with others for being too big...

where are you located ?

POST 12 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Eastern France, close to ze Germans

POST 13Original post

I just picked up two Britax Romer Adventure Plus 2 - they seem absolutely spot on for a 996. They don't have isofix either which makes them a flatter fit against the seat.

Hi, I’ve a 7 and 9 year old. Both too small for no booster. Trying to figure out at what point (if ever) they come out of one of these and into just a base booster. Concern with just a base booster is they might sit precariously high against the cars rear seat back with no neck support. Concern with keeping them in the full booster is they will be too big/falling into front seat.

POST 15Original post

It’s height, weight and age based. All the requirements are stated on the relevant gov.uk pages, you can start here (assuming you are in the UK) Child car seats: the law The rules for child car seats and booster seats - height, weight, age, type of vehicle, car, minibus, licensed taxi www.gov.uk
