Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi there, just wondered if any of you guys know what the procedure is for clearing the roof drains (not cab or targa) on a 991.1. Just been quoted £350 by opc to have this urgent work completed but not fully convinced it’s a thing on this gen? Opc suggested 1.5 hrs work and the undertrays need to be removed . Said car does have a sunroof…. Edited by duncanoaks on Saturday 28th February 23:43

POST 2Original post

Having clogged sunroof drains can end up in water entering the cabin and pooling in the footwells which is where a lot of the electronic components are.

POST 3Original post

This.. don’t think about the small job is it worth 350, think about the cost if you don’t. Actually becoming more of a problem even with modern cars. Definitely would be doing mine every 2 years now. I’m sure Porsche will insist on it soon to keep extended warranties intact.

POST 4Original post

Honestly, that price is a joke for what it is. Find a local independent Porsche specialist, they'll do it for probably half that or less. You can even try a high-end detailer, some of them do this kind of stuff now. Just get it done, don't let it sit or you'll be replacing expensive electronics.
