For the C4S, I know most recommend 15mm, but I've been put off by a few pics I've seen that actually have the tire poking out some with 15mm.

But it's also substantially lowered which I think will change the visual for mine at stock height.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

27 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hey guys. Looking to add spacers to my stock 04 C4S. I purchased 7mm all around and installed and it definitely made a difference, but I'm still left wanting just a touch. The 996 cars have the worst overhang I've ever seen, 997 and above all sit so much better from the factory. I've done the research already and can't quite seem to settle on the rear. Most of what I find is pics of NB 996. For the C4S, I know most recommend 15mm, but I've been put off by a few pics I've seen that actually have the tire poking out some with 15mm. But then I've seen others with 18mm and its flush. None of it makes sense. I'm leaning towards a 12mm just to keep it somewhat conservative. With that said, can anyone post some photos of mainly their rears? Preferably from like a down-the-side sort of shot so I can gauge the overhang? I'm factory height also btw.

POST 2Original post

you need to know the wheel offsets of the cars you've been looking at to judge spacers. I think on a stock twist C4S the 15mm (all 4 wheels) is the right size its also way easier to search for modded turbos 20mm rear 15mm front: https://forums.m3cutters.co.uk/threa...-turbo.242968/

POST 3Original post

18mm square is good too: https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...m-spacers.html

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I've actually seen that silver Turbo in my research and agree it looks great. But it's also substantially lowered which I think will change the visual for mine at stock height. I know I'm getting specific but I want to see a factory height C4S with factory wheels and spacers to judge.

POST 5Original post

I don't think you're going to have a good time trying to get flush fitment at stock ride height

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 17822396

Yeah, I'm not necessarily going for super flush. Just a nice touch that could pass for OEM that eliminates some of the massive overhang. I am planning to install the C4S RoW suspension though so that will drop it a touch. Here is mine with the 7mm. It actually improved it more than I initially suspected, but I think it could still go a touch more. Sort of why I'm thinking the 12 may be a good fit.

POST 8Original post

5mm is so small I just don't know if it's worth it (imo). I'd go for 15

POST 9 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 17822519

Yessir it is. Thanks a lot for the input. Maybe I should just buy that dang trial kit from ECS.

POST 10Original post

Awesome, mine is too so thanks for testing this whole look out for me hahahaa

POST 12 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 17822556

LOL. You bet. I wasn't sure I was going to like it at first with the slight rose tint, but I actually rarely notice it in person and it just tends to look silver.

POST 13 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Quotes source post: 17822572

Wow. That looks substantially different than some of the other 15mm I've seen.

POST 14Original post

Quotes source post: 17822579

yeah it wasn't my first choice but it's really growing on me, and I think with P cars it's always better to have a unique color for resale

15mm, stock rims but H&R lowering and Bilstein B8's.

POST 16Original post

Awesome setup @Argeo . If I decide to lower that's the exact setup I have in a cart haha

POST 17Original post

With the rear tire having a smaller wall than the front, not sure I love it yet. Always looks like your on the gas.

POST 18Original post

15mm spacers and longer lugs all around. H&R springs

Hey nice E30. See youre in Raleigh. Im just out here in Zebulon.

POST 21Original post

Any pictures of your car straight in from the side? Im in search of a wing. Thanks

POST 22Original post

Wait, why is this hard? All of these cars with different wheels sit slightly differently. You said you have 7mm spacers, and would like a bit more. Simply mount your wheels, and measure how much more you'd like. Order that size spacer. Done.

POST 23Original post

996 C4S came with a factory 17mm spacer in the back if you ordered the sport technos.

Factory spacer on rear, believe its 16mm No spacer on the front
