Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

When my commute changed from a nice drive on some pretty back roads to a walk from the bedroom to the downstairs office, I lost a lot of driving!
Leading evidence: 'Replace from a nice drive' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Replace from a nice drive' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Good video. If one has the chance, it's always eye opening when you drive the different generations. All are great drives, but the 996 is exceptional. Even better when you upgrade the suspension.
I also agree that the look of the car is aging well. It goes into professional storage for ~6 months of the year and when it comes out, I can't believe how good it looks. I think part of the reason for it aging well, is that Porsche and others are all trying to drive down costs and one way is to make an all-in-one headlight.
Nice. He has the exact same Fikse wheels I have. Great wheels.
Owning both cars (993 was traded for the 6GT3), I'll say he pretty much hit all the right points.
The slab sides on the 996 have more to due with function than form by reducing coefficient of drag.
Yes, the headlights were a cost reduction thing. Love them or hate them, you can't see them when driving, which is the best position to be in.
I could listen to Nathan talk about Porsches for hours. The ending wasn't some big surprise though. Anybody who has actually driven these cars has already came to the same conclusion.
Good video and not a surprise. Someone said "the 996 is a better car, the 993 is a better Porsche" and that is it. Every time I drive our 993 I think how, dare I say,
unrefined
it is compared to our 996, and both are low mileage, well maintained examples.
That said, our Boxster S is the favorite (flame suit on)!
^^ Boxsters are great, doesn't surprise me. But I would advice you to get rid of those low mile example 911's and get your some properly drivable 911's.

Probably.
I've driven many 993s. The 996 is a much better car to drive on the street and track. Doesn't take away from how great the 993 is, it's just the 996 provides handling with a visceral feel that can't be matched by the 993.
I just had a chance to drive my 2nd air-cooled car, so my experience is limited, and it happened to be a 993 Targa. I couldn't help but think how stout the car felt. I'm sure the added glass amplified this but the 996 seemed much more raw and nimble by comparison. I'd love to drive and see how an older 964 would compare to the 996.

....too many cars, too little time. When my commute changed from a nice drive on some pretty back roads to a walk from the bedroom to the downstairs office, I lost a lot of driving!
