Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

Not sure if anyone has experienced it but I've had complaints when using the phone module that people cannot hear me. I never had this issue with the 986 where I had comments that the line was really clear. Whilst at OPC Reading last week I got this checked and apparently it is a known fault with the Cayman, 987 and 997. Its with Germany for response at the moment but appears to be a design fault as to where they have placed the microphone meaning it picks up too much road noise rather than your voice. <span class="info">[/quote]

POST 2Original post

Afriend of mine who has a 997 has the same problem. I call from mylandline and hecan hear me clearly, but I can hardly hear him because of background noise within his car.

POST 3Original post

So far not a problem for me, but I tend to pull over to make calls. ==RedEye

POST 4Original post

Cayman mics are on the steering column, seems to make a difference if speaker has a lower or higher frequency vocal range, as the higher frequencies will cut though the noise better.
