Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

OK, so after I had my car towed in for something that looked like nothing more than condensate leak from the A/C, I also found out a little info. On my paperwork was a big red stamp will RECALLS CHECKED on it, or something similar. Turna out there are 2 recalls that were carried out on the car. 1) A modification to the key. This makes it so that the buttons have to be held down for over a second to activate any of the locks. I don't know when this was introduced, or if it will stop some of the problems found by users on here, but it appears they have done something. Easy check to see if you have the updayed key firmware is to just press the remote buttons. You should have to hold the button for a 1-count before it opens any of the hatches. 2) An 'Upgrade' kit for the rear hatch. This is supposed to stop some of the rattles from the rear hatch that have also been an issue to some owners. I think this is basically some new bump stops (I havent actually looked yet), but it does seem better, though there are still rattles from the interior trim. At the same time I also had the A/C re gassed, as I was suffering from some very noisy fan sounds coming from all over the car when the A/C was on, that went away as soon as the ECO button was pressed. The regassing worked, and the A/C is now silent. They also bled the coolant. The man reason they called in the car was that I put over a pint of water in the coolent, ran it for a few minutes and then had to put even more water in to bring it up to MIN again. They said they couldn't find a leak on the system, but had to bleed it because there was some air-lock in it. And that is it for now....... Jack

POST 2Original post

My key must be the updated one. The lock/unlock button just needs to be quickly pushed to unlock/lock the car but the front and rear boot buttons need to be pressed and held for about a second to get the trunks to open. Shane

POST 3Original post

jackwood its interesting you should mention bump stops as my cars rear hatch started to sound as if it was not shut properly ,every time i went over a bump large bump from the boot i looked at it this weekend and found that one of the bump stops was halfway in and the other was fully extended ,so i fully extended the other to see if this was the problem .i will know for sure tonight as i go home via country lanes which are well rutted .by the way bump stops are yours fully out /halfway or fully in?
