Obviously need to drill holes in the body to fit these, I would probably use rivnuts and make my own up if I decided to do that?

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

10 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • 911uk: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hello Looking for some info again please. I was looking to re attach my under trays - but quite a few of the fixing points are starting to rust away. I know I have read before about different options to replace these, but cannot find the details. Any advice on options to do this please? Many thanks.

Someone said these are a genuine VAG part? Obviously need to drill holes in the body to fit these, I would probably use rivnuts and make my own up if I decided to do that? Hopefully someone’s done the job can give their experience

Brand name is ‘Big Heads’ I’ve seen all sorts of 2 part automotive adhesives incl structural, in repair videos - I’d do some research and see what is available locally at a sensible price. The ones I’ve seen have two separate cartridges where the nozzle mixes the two parts as they’re squeezed through.

There you go, doddle to find on my pc rather than on my phone: M Post in thread '2001 C4 project car' 7 Jul 2020 Surfaces prepared for the new studs, these will be held on with JB Weld, given the surface area and the weigth of the tin foil they have to support, I'm sure they will be fine.
