Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I used a Krylon product for the actual matte finish but didnt use a proper clear so Id recommend this for a final coating,

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Over Christmas weekend, I managed to scrape up my OEM front lip on my 996.2.. A replacement is $500+ and mine is not damaged, just scraped up. Can somebody give me some help on refinishing this piece? I'm assuming I can sand, prime and use a one step matte paint for plastic (e.g. Krylon). Very open to other suggestions. Thanks.
I sanded mine and then used a high build primer, sanded again and then painted. It worked pretty well but I probably shouldve picked a better product for the final coating.

I scrape coming into my driveway. Just sanded the rough edges and curly cues of plastic and painted with SEM trim paint. Looks great and easily repeatable.
Is tha painted part damaged ? Trying to match color or don't care.

If you need to blend, after color coat, have blend area sanded and spray clear, and on edges only, quickly spray Clear blender (can of Axalta 790) on old Clear and new clear edge, (gets rid of Ghost line in modern paint)

In my case, it's a black lip beneath a silver bumper. Bumper was not damaged. However, that's excellent info on general paint with some new to me products suggesred. Thanks.
OP - Orlazy man method (me), buy a couple of street quality Demon cup lips (even on a non-aero .2 cover). Increase your front grip just that little bit more and no longer worry too much about scrapes. A black paint pen will hide almost all the boo-boos. Do a quick 400/1000/2000 sand, mask and spot spray for longer, wider scrapes. I also use the Krylon satin black for interior and exterior. Durability is good, sheen and texture are an OE match for interior.
