Hi, I need to replace my battery, and wondered if there were any recommendations. My car is the 996 MY2002. I use a battery conditioner, as it isn't a daily driver. This will be the first time I have had to replace it since I bought the car in 2009. I'm on the Isle of Man so will probably order either direct through a Porsche Dealer in the UK, or through an auto electrical shop here on the island (if not a true Porsche battery). Thanks for your help. Steve

Unless you have Porsche extended warranty steer well clear of their Moll batteries and get one of these: Bosch silver top S5 with 5 year warranty Yuasa Black with lifetime warranty, which is what I have fitted. https://www.yuasa.co.uk/2015/10/halfords-launches-the-new-yuasa-black-lifetime-guarantee-range/

It can only be the Bosch S5... I've used them on 4 different vehicles over the last 9? years without issue.

Construction of those batteries do not require a vent.
