Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1Original post

Found part of the wiring harness below my passenger seat (on the car not on the seat) chewed up (or maybe cut up!). The "rodent" precisely sliced 1 thin yellow and 1 thin black wire, and frayed a bit of the brown one. The rest of the harness is intact (the insulation was peeled off only at this location) and my car has never thrown any suspect codes. Any idea what the black and yellow wires are for? I never had an airbag or seatbelt light, so maybe these were for heat or something? My readings so far tell me these are for the thorax airbags.

POST 2Original post

It's a covered comprehensive claim under any policy I have ever seen.

POST 3Original post

Another good reason to keep a very low deductible on comprehensive (besides deer and windshields) - I keep mine at $50 deductable, costs about $10 more than $500..
