Anyway, I replaced the drivers window switch with a brand new Porsche part and ever since then when I open/close the roof the passenger window doesn't drop, or close when the open/close cycle completes I have to use the window switch.

Hey all, i've searched these forums, and other places but can't find an answer; or a problem similar to mine. I have a 2007 987S (i'm in the UK, so right hand drive) When I bought the car last year, the roof and both windows all functioned as expected. Then the window switch on the drivers side broke (the plastic switch went brittle and snapped), I eventually got around to replacing it when I drove it one day and both windows went nuts (I expect the switch completely degraded and sent both windows going up and down repeatedly). Anyway, I replaced the drivers window switch with a brand new Porsche part and ever since then when I open/close the roof the passenger window doesn't drop, or close when the open/close cycle completes I have to use the window switch. The drivers window does drop when opening the roof. Also, when opening the passenger door the window drops then, so the door microswitches and the roof latch microswitch appear to work (as the window drops on door open on passenger side, and the drivers window drops when opening the roof) Any ideas? I've looked at the wiring diagrams and looks like if the roof latch microswitch failed, then both windows should have the same behaviour as it doesn't have an output for each side. Any thoughts? I'm currently thinking either the relay (not sure if it controls each side independently) or maybe the rear control unit under the seat?
