Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Forward/backward seat adjustment has a problem - only the right hand rail is driven, the left-hand side of the seat won't move. Leads to a crabbing motion when I try to move the seat forward. I've taken the seat out before, and it's a cinch - but the position the seat is fixed in now is covering the rear bolts. I really need to somehow manually adjust the seat forward - any suggestions as to how this can be done? 1995 993 Carrera 2 Thanks,Ian Migration info. Legacy thread was 50917

POST 2 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

<solved, posted here for posterity> Very simple actually. After consulting that wonderful diy resource p-car I followed the instructions at http://p-car.com/diy/seatshaft/ . One of the flexible drives had popped out, easy to pop back in (without removing the seat) - and full power back and forth again! Ian </posterity> Migration info. Legacy thread was 51062
