Hi all, Need a little help. I am unable to find the location of the starter relay.
Are you sure there's an issue with the relay? I just replaced the starter on my 2010... the solenoid is usually what fails before the relay (on most cars). If you open the top cover, you can use a screwdriver or other long tool to tap the starter while a friend keeps the key turned. If the car starts, then it's the solenoid.
I will say, after replacing mine, it sounds much faster/happier to turn the engine over... so it was due anyway for other reasons as well.

Thank you for the reply. I had a problem with
battery
draining and little power to the starter. Replaced the
battery
and the power draining stopped. All elec items work but starter does not. Not a sound. I was hoping it was something simple like the relay. Also I do not know where the relay is located. Tks for the help, Gary
Sorry, I didn't answer that question. As I understand it, the relay block is just above the driver's feet... at least according to this video:
Schwinn, Thanks for the reply. I was able to get the relays down from under the dash. Can you help identifying which relay does what. I have the same problem with the relays found in the rear trunk dirver'
s side. I just cannot figure out which breakers do what and really need to know which breaker is for the starter.
tks, again, gary
first pic is front under the dash breakers
second pic is in the rear trunk, driver's side
Hi Gary - I'm moving this thread to the actual 987 technical section is belongs in... hang on. Maybe someone can point out which one it is.
BTW - have you checked the clutch switch (assuming it's not automatic..)?
I don't know which one is for the starter. I believe the video I linked has the guy testing and pointing it out, so please watch the video.
If that is not enough, you can put your hand on the relay, and turn the key to start - you should be able to feel the click in the relay that is working. Be sure to check them all, because you may feel the click through the base, so you're looking for which one has the highest "feel" of the click.
Thank you very much for the help.
Gary
