Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

The first thing to do is to take it back to the people you paid to perform the alignment and have them check all of their work, after all, that’s what you paid them for.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

I took my car in for alignment and had them take out .5 of camber and make sure the toe was set. That day it was raining and afterwards there were no issues. I parked the car for a few days and today when I went to drive it I'm getting a popping/creaking noise and can feel the popping through the floor board. I'm a little confused at what could have possibly dried out to cause this popping, if the wet was even related. I have GT3 arms that added a degree of camber and are pulled all the way in now.

POST 2Original post

The first thing to do is to take it back to the people you paid to perform the alignment and have them check all of their work, after all, that’s what you paid them for.

POST 3Original post

What he said. My WAG would be something wasn't properly torqued and worked loose.

POST 4Original post

It was indeed this. We thought we had this figured out but apparently not. It needed even more tightening. I think the LCA body side bolt might be stretched.

POST 5Original post

One thing to confirm with the LCAs is that the final torque is applied on the inside bolt when the car is fully weighted on the wheels rather than on a lift with suspension fully extended down. Normally an alignment would not involve having the suspension fully extended, but perhaps it was for some other reason or to make more significant changes.

POST 6Original post

Yes we've done this tightening in both loaded and unloaded in the past. This time we lifted the car and loaded the side and then tightened it.
