Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1Original post

Was looking at a 2009 911 Carrera s with 47k on it. They showed all of the maintenance receipts and in one of them it had the comment of metal fragments in oil filter. they changed out the oil again and it had a clean filter this time (after a few thousand miles). Is this a common event or a prelude to lots of trouble down the road.... Thanks!

POST 2Original post

Is this a common event Not in a properly running engine no, I'd keep looking.

POST 3Original post

That’s the beginning of a very expensive issue… bore scope test is a must… I just heard of a 991.2 CS with the same issues… these are newer cars too… I don’t understand how toyota can build a bulletproof phucking motor in 1994 (my MR2) with 700hp and 120k miles and not a single issue…. It’s frustrating to hear this on newer cars too…
