Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have a 2001 C4 cabriolet. Had water behind the seat, and took the car to a local shop who cleared the drains and said they were all clogged (the car barely ever saw rain in CA). Fast forward, I was still seeing some moisture and they think that one of the top seals may be leaking. Did a search, seems like an easy fix, but according to Porsche, the center seal is NLA. No replacement, just not available. How is it possible that Porsche dropped an important part for a still-viable model? Is there an aftermarket or other solution? Or is every Cabriolet doomed to be leaky going forward? top rear L: 996-561-411-00 top rear L: 996-561-412-00 center R: 996-561-414-00 NLA center L: 996-561-413-00 NLA front: 996-561-027-00 https://www.porscheatlantaperimeterp...duct=3766664#9

The link you posted there specifically states for those parts: "gasket UPDATED BY PORSCHE. USE ITEMS # 15 AND 16". They have been superseded by a 997 part number. It happens when they made a better part that works for both models.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

That would be awesome. I'll check with the local dealer, thanks!

I have the same exact problem, did you end up finding those parts? If so do you happen to have the part numbers? I would need the middle section. The page you linked has 2 #15 and #16 parts and Im confused on which is the correct serial number. Thanks!
